Netherlands' capital is Amsterdam. However, the seat of government is in The Hague.

Best time to visit

It depends on what you have in mind. If you want to go to the beach, May to September are ideal. However, the weather is not always stable. You can go on a city trip or shopping all year round.

Driving

A national driving license is sufficient for EU citizens. The road network is well developed and the roads are in good condition. The traffic signs and rules are by and large standardized within Europe.

The speed limits are 100 km/h on freeways during the day and 130 km/h at night (7 p.m. to 6 a.m.), 100 km/h on main roads, 80 km/h outside built-up areas and 50 km/h within built-up areas. The blood alcohol limit is 0.5 per mille.

Phone
