dear(travel)diary,

Mom and I spontaneously set off on a little trip. It took us to the beautiful capital of Tuscany: Florence. I had wanted to visit Florence for a long time and so we decided to make a stop here.

The short stay only allowed us to get to know the city a little, but I was still able to discover a lot. I'll save the rest for my next visit. Because one thing is certain: I will definitely be back! After all, Florence has a lot to offer...

Where to eat

If you want to enjoy your morning coffee alongside the Florentines, then you should take a look around San Niccolò. We discovered the café “Il Baretto del Rifrullo” there. We were able to experience Italian life here during breakfast.

But this time I'd rather leave the real restaurant tips to the experts! Because our Airbnb host Massimilliano is from Florence and therefore knows exactly where to find the best food!

Where to sleep

We had a small Airbnb in Florence, which I can generally recommend. Our host - Massimiliano - was very kind, helpful and helpful! I have rarely stayed in such clean accommodation. Only the location wasn't quite as good. It was a bit noisy. But at least we were in Piazzale Michelangelo within 7 minutes by car.

By the way: Florence has a lot to offer, but is a comparatively small city. Therefore, you can actually reach everything easily on foot!

Costs

  • 1 night Airbnb in total: 84€
  • Parking: 0€*
  • Breakfast (croissant + drink): 6€ p.p.
  • Pasta at the Mercato Centrale: 6€ p.p.
  • Drink on the roof terrace of the Rinascente department store: 4 p.p.
*Parking costs in Florence can sometimes be expensive. But you can easily save yourself the costs! We parked our car at the church of San Miniato al Monte (“Via del Monte alle Croci 20”) and walked down from here via Piazzale Michelangelo.

I have put together a list of all the places on Google Maps.

You can find the list here.
