The ultimate Food Guide for Kitzbühel
Hahnenkamm Stüberl: In winter, the Hahnenkamm Stüberl is our favorite hut for lunch while skiing. It serves the world's best Kaiserschmarrn pancakes and the Tyrolean “Geröstel” and “Kasspatzl” are fantastic! However, the Hahnenkamm Stüberl is located high up on the mountain. Therefore, in summer it can only be reached by lift or as the destination of a hike.
Bärenbadalm (winter): The S3 connects the Kitzbühel ski area with the Jochberg ski area. This means you can easily reach the Bärenbadalm mountain hut for a snack while skiing. The chocolate tart is especially worth the trip!
Huber Bräu: I don't think Bene has ever eaten anything other than schnitzel at Huber Bräu. And that's exactly why we usually go there. Because the schnitzel at Huber Bräu is terrific. But other traditional dishes are also very good here!
S'Pfandl: The S'Pfandl prepares excellent Austrian home cooking. However, the good food comes at a price. In my opinion, however, you will still get your money's worth!
Zum Tischlerwirt: The traditional restaurant Tischlerwirt is said to be just as good (again). However, we haven't made it there yet, so we can only rely on the reviews of friends.
Hagstein: If you want to enjoy traditional cuisine with a beautiful view, then the Hagstein is the place for you. You can easily reach the hut by car.
Ruetzen Hof (Kirchberg): The Ruetzen Hof is the Hagstein of Kirchberg. The hut offers good, traditional cuisine!
Pano: Pano is the perfect place to take a short break from your shopping tour through Kitzbühel. The breads and cakes are delicious!
Franz Coffee & Winebar: We discovered Franz while shopping. Franz is a store with a café. And the café is really worth a visit. From vacation to vacation, we notice more and more people in Franz. So it's no longer an insider tip, but it's still worth a visit for a small coffee and cake in between.
