EATING & DRINKING (BEER)

Food is relatively inexpensive in Prague. At least if you're not dining at one of the tourist hotspots. However, Prague is particularly famous for its cheap beer. There are countless pub crawls on offer throughout the city, offering everything from quaint pubs to fancy rooftop bars. And if you're still up for it after the tour, you can visit the biggest club in Central Europe, Karlovy Lazne with its Ice Pub. A dream come true for students and young adults! Prague is the perfect place for a trip with friends.

You should definitely try “Trdelník” as a snack between meals. You can buy this sweet bread on almost every corner and it is simply a piece of culture. The bread is available in different variations. Personally, I think the classic one without any frills is the best! If you prefer savory food, Prague is known for its goulash, potato soup and roast pork.

Breakfast

We had a great breakfast at “Cafefin”. The café was recommended to me beforehand and I was thrilled. Unfortunately, it's just not in Praha 1, so not in the city center. However, it is worth walking to Praha 2 for the Cafefin. If you're looking for a nice place to have breakfast in the city center, you can stop by “Styl & Interier”!

Lunch

We had a delicious lunchtime snack at Bistro Monk. The bistro is located in the center of Prague and is therefore ideal for a lunch stop during a sightseeing tour through the old town.

In the afternoon, you can also enjoy a delicious piece of cake with a cup of coffee at Bistro Monk.

Dinner

If you want to try traditional Czech food, then Lokál is the place for you. This quaint restaurant is one of the most famous in the city for a reason. It is therefore best to reserve a table in advance.

Otherwise, you can simply try one of the many restaurants in Prague 2 in the streets around Námestí Míru.

Drinking

If you want to go out for a beer, you can't really go far wrong anywhere. Just find a quaint pub! In good weather, you can also sit in the beer garden in Letná Park.

In case you prefer a cocktail, the rooftop bar “Cloud 9 Sky Bar & Lounge” is a good place to go. For a special cocktail experience, I can also recommend the Ice Bar.

I have put together a list of all the places on Google Maps.

You can find the list here.
