1. Du Pain et des Idées: I made it my mission to find the best pain au chocolat in Paris. That wasn't so easy. I never had a bad pain au chocolat in Paris, but none that really convinced me either. On the last day of my trip, however, I was pleasantly surprised! It was at the Boulangerie Du Pain et des Idées. The rest of the pastries looked really good, too!
2. Tapisserie - Charonne: Although not the best pain au chocolat, we still found some pretty tasty pastries at Patisserie Tapisserie - Charonne. Their chocolate cake is award-winning and tasted so different to any I've tried before. We only met Parisians there, so it's a real insider tip!
3. Kozy: I love breakfast! That's why I prefer to try out the cafés in a city, whereas restaurants aren't that important to me. Even in Paris! And my breakfast favorite was definitely Kozy. I was at the Montematre location, but there are other branches.
4. Au P'tit Grec: If you love galettes & crêpes, then P'tit Grec is the place for you. Two friends who studied in Paris recommended it to me. After eating there, I know why. But be careful: these are real calorie bombs!
5. Le Petit Lutetia: If you're looking for a good brasserie with real Parisian charm and good food, then Le Petit Lutetia is the place to go!
